This one is a Roadrunner show so, hold on tight and get ready for some gut wrenching laughter.
Apparently, Roadrunner has inherited Grandpa W's quick wit and great sense of humor.
First, was the Wall Street Journal and sucker at the bank (which he always knows when the camera is running there and it feels weird videoing inside a bank.) So thus he show's off for the camera instead of settling down to the latest in financial news.
Now, when we order pizza and it arrives at the house he run's to the door opens it wide and yells at the poor delivery man. "HELLO PIZZA MAN!" He's clearly very excited about pizza and the hero that delivers it. His sisters laugh and laugh! The response from the hero is usually cool, but sometimes you can see that he just wants to get away from this lunatic kid. I'll try and tip a little bigger if he seems extra annoyed.
As for entertaining his sisters. Many of you know we have banished the TV on a whim. It has remained as such and the kids don't seem to complain. Even when we ask if they miss it and they reply. "Mom, we don't need tv. We have "Roadrunner". (name substituted).
Roadrunner recently had a full physical check-up at the doctor's office and he discovered the petal that makes the exam table go up and down. He went through the exam and while the doc and I chatted he began playing with it. soon he was stretching his leg as far as he could to push the petal and make it go up without losing contact or falling off. I got video but must remember not to turn it on its side. Otherwise you get sideways video.
Another funny thing he's done is ask for a bobby pin for the last week. Not knowing what for we brush it off for other things going on. Then he finally approahes Bicycleman with a clear cosmetic case filled with his hot wheels cars and its locked. (Its one of those cheesy suitcase locks). He whispers into his dad's ear, you know dad we can unlock it with a bobby pin.
Another round of laughter.
He has been altering common and fun phrases to garner a laugh. He's picking up and sings. "Shave and a hair cut, spaghetti." or "lego", or "boxtop".
To get the other kids in here. Pixie is accident prone lately. A lot of face bonks and hand boo boos. Just in the right place at the wrong time. Bookworm, has read through an enitire 7 book series that she recieved for her birthday on the 2nd. She has also decided that detention for not doing homework is no fun. (Yeah!) Noodle, is showing promise of a fiery temper.
Mother's day gifts were fun and wonderful. I recieved two flower pens, a basket with a marigold plant, homemade cookies, candy chocolate roses, and mushy fudge. Cards with wonderful poems and lots of hugs and kisses.
Happy mother's day! May you laugh as much as I do.
