Some of the fun fireworks.
The BIG BOYS playing with the BIG "TOYS"!
Okay so it was only for an hour but the visit was fun. Yesterday after working my normal shift from 4am to 830am, I went to the Annual Ward Fourth of July Breakfast. We followed that up with a nap at home and then made our way to our evening venue. The Wampachs! This started as just the home of Bookworm's friend but quickly turned into a family affair. Her dad is a fireworks dealer, He invited us to come help him expend the hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks with him and his family. We arrived with our promised contribution of no-bake cookies and home-made potato salad. We BBQ'd while the kids burned through the many smoke bombs, parachutes, and other day fireworks. I was temporarily left on charge when John went to pick up Carla from work and Bicycleman took down fundraiser flags with the scouts. Thus my hour of mom over 10 kids ages 16 to 5. Five of theirs, Four of mine and One extra friend.
Carla and I compared pictures all night long, she has a better camera so I look forward to sharing some of her awesome shots. All that are posted on this page are mine.
Doug, Rebecca, Roadrunner, Pixie, Bookworm, and May enjoying the sparkler play.
Pixie making a figure 8.
Bookworm showing off.
The only casualty in a couple of close calls was a small sparkler burn on the base of Roadrunner's pointer finger. Not bad for 6 hours of firework play.
I apologize for the pictures quality, my night exposure on my digital is long and often created motion or ghost like pictures. Like 'em or hate them they're fun.
Doug and Rebecca showing off the sparklers. One cool thing about the timed exposure.
Second, the video is VERY LOUD! Please turn down your speakers if you are in a quiet place. This is the Finale, carefully crafted and put on by four of our pyro's in some cases using more than one giant sparkler to light multiple fireworks simultaneously.
