Ending the birthday season with a "BANG"!

So we decided to hold the birthday proceedings today (On our new niece's birthday) for Roadrunner. He bugged and bugged all day to open his presents and to eat cake. It was almost like taking a long car trip. He asked nearly continuously for about 4 hours if he could open his presents yet. "Are we there yet?" LOL
Well, the time arrived we had a good dinner and then watched as he opened the much anticipated gifts. First was the hot wheels track and then it was the Pokemon card game. Then the remote control race car followed by a hotwheels 18 wheeler that holds several hotwheels cars in true car carrier fashion. Which now dad can't put down.

Anyhow, we sing happy birthday and then we cut the cake. A few minutes later as Roadrunner was standing on a dining chair getting into a lucious piece of cake, the cushion slipped off the chair and all you saw was arms and legs as he crashed to the floor. Only one problem, there was a stereo speaker that decided it was time to meet his head.
So, with chocolate frosting smeared across his shirt, and a bloody hand, we examined and took a trip to urgency care. After a short wait, they brought him back and decided that the contusion was worse than the cut and gave him a "ninja" wrap around his head. see picture.

I guess there is some irony to a cut on your head when you are five. I had one too, only it was my forehead. All seems well and Roadrunner finally got to eat his cake and enjoy his presents.

Here is Roadrunner with a different kind of wrap, just a few days before... his sister's were modeling their aunts wares (hair bows) Not to be left out his sister's indulged him. Enjoy the snicker.

As for my sister and brother-in-law and family we welcome thier newest. In at a whopping 9.9lbs, welcome Kady.
