So as some of you know Bicycle man is very busy with scouts and all that entails. And not that I don't try to be supportive and all but he sometimes forgets that the family should be on the priority list at all. I guess I wouldn't make a good bishop's wife.
Anyhow, He's been gone nearly every other weekend playing with the boy scouts on hikes, camp outs, and other adventures. So this weekend is no exception, except that its the big "boys" he's playing with at Wood Badge and since his work lost eight drivers over the last couple of weeks they yanked his vacation day that would have allowed him to go with a car-pool 50 miles away. Instead, he had to work and left me feeling isolated like a weekend long ice storm without our only car.
I've had one reprieve my visiting teachers took me to Spaghetti Factory for my birthday lunch and yes, I got sung to. But we have had to hobble along getting Bookworm to mutual and Pixie missed her opportunity to try out for 5th grade band.
So in this miserable 90 degree weather I'm stuck to short distances easily accessible by bike and foot.

Now that I've whined I have to admit that he's coming around as he cleared two other possible time consuming obligations for the ward camp-out next weekend, I only hope that its still warm by then.

Hang in there, I know its hard. When we were moving from Oregon to Puyallup, Cory lived there one month before we were able to move and he had our only car. It totally sucked at the time, but made me appreciate the time we do get as a family.
As far as the rest -you are a strong and resourceful mother, and every thing happens for a reason.
I'll be praying for you.
Lots of Love~
