What year am I in? Not sure maybe the Twilight is getting to me.

Funny, this question only seems to come up around my sister-in-law who is 13 years younger than me. She is always saying that she doesn't belong in the present time frame that she should have been born in the past. So now according to this I obviously left my brain in the 50's. Or maybe reincarnated very rapidly.
Its also weird that I have always seemed to get along way better with people at least one generation older than me, than I do with those of my own age group. I guess then... by some twist of fate the story of "Back to the Future" holds some funky reality for me. I guess my interest in Science fiction is not all lost.
"You Belong in 1958"
You Belong in 1958
You're fun loving, romantic, and more than a little innocent. See you at the drive in!
What Year Do You Belong In?

But in my last week of brain fart time I did take the opportunity to heed some advice from a friend... Read what your daughter is reading so you know what she's getting into. So now, I may have started reading the book with great intent of being objective and parent-like, but rather found myself getting so wrapped up in this phenomenon that I completed the first in less than 2 days and picked up the second that I had set aside as a bribe (I know terrible mom) to get her to clean her room. I completed the second in two and a half days and can hardly wait, like a little child waits for Santa to come, to take an opportunity to pick up the third and fourth books.
If you haven't figured it out yet I'm speaking about the Twilight series.

I know that disappointment will come when there isn't another to read. Its uncanny how you compare yourself to identify with one of the characters on so many levels. The suspense that holds you locked in and why you choose sides on such incredulous matters when the world is falling apart around you. How simple lines we used to say bring different meaning and context when you encounter them in conversation.
Temporarily transformed.

ok - first of all, 1958 is appropriate for you because it describes you perfectly. You should not take this as a slide, but rather a compliment. and whohoo you avoided the 80's!
as for the Twilight Series I have heard this from many, but I cannot get into them so that I can actually be aware enough to take care of my kids. Maybe I'll get the chance when the baby is in school! enjoy them!

I have heard that series is a good one. I just think it is cool that you got into something good and are enjoying it. It is hard with school, meals and laundry to get some true "me" time in... I love getting lost in a good book, I am in search of one so maybe I might pick up one of the Twilight ones.
