Winter Birthdays and the oldest New Years Resolution

Its birthday time in our home. Pixie turned 11 yesterday and Bicycle Man will be 36 this Groundhog's Day.

So here are some pictures of the party animals to enjoy. We celebrated Bicycle Man's birthday early since this is the only day we seem to have together. Honorable mention's go out to my brother Jake and my primary president Laura, and to an almost relative Jordan M. who all share Jan. 29th as thier birthday.
One Day I will be smart enough to keep a section of cute things my kids say but today, its just the two.
In the spirit of Roadrunner, He looked at the stack of Dad's presents and said: "I hope there are toys you like!"
and "I need to go play my homework now." Oh to be in first grade when all the work seems fun.



The other part of this post is related to an old new years resolution that many fail at. But now I have a firey motivation that will keep me going. Yep, I actually invested money on it and would look like a complete idiot if I looked like I didn't care or put any half hearted effort into it. So if you hear me complain over the next six months, just know I'm whining and it'll all be worth it in the end.
So I will be the biggest loser at the airport! Each contestant puts in $25 and weighs-in. (Baggage Scales are great for this). We will weigh-in every month and those who stay the same or gain weight will pay $5. If you lose weight no added money. The person who loses the greatest percentage of weight by the end (August '09) will take the pot. Now without divulging to the whole world my statistics, I will tell you my goal and my ideal weights. My goal weight loss is 80 lbs, but my absolute lowest ideal is 95 lbs. (I have't seen this weight since before my first child.) I have also enrolled in a Zumba class and have two other free aerobic classes each week. I think I may also post progress pictures if ut doesn't gross anyone out. LOL.
