My plans for this last week were to visit my sister in the mid-west. How I miss her. Unfortunately, a combination of Mother Nature and last minute filling flight loads made for an unset rescheduling of the trip. The plan was to see church history sites, shop, and just enjoy each other's company. I hope that May might be a better time.
So with a sudden lump of time on my hands, the kids out for spring break and a husband who took time off to watch the kids. What do you do? We spring cleaned...that's original. We took it easy. Got a few small projects done. Played board and card games. Had other family over and watched our Prophet in action.
Seriously, I couldn't have asked for much else.
General Conference
So what say ye, to a bi-yearly happening? For our family it is General Conference. Thanks to the great advancement in technology we watched it from the comfort of our own home on our T.V., which is also our computer monitor. The capacity and highest in home fiber optic speed Internet connection available to us, (That's a mouthful) allowed us to watch a solid streaming of all general sessions of conference. Its nice to not hear the kids complain about it and they participate with a packet of associated and interactive activities. The messages have been uplifting, spiritually fulfilling, and hopeful.
May these messages find you and your families well. May you heed them and allow them to bless you.
Cute Moment Alert!
This morning started out with a breakfast of French Toast, and a whirlwind No-Bake cookie making to snack on later. The weather is a beautiful 70 degree day, sunny and breezy.
See here Pixie, the answer to that question is on this page.
As we were preparing this morning with the broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and spoken word, we caught Roadrunner with some *light* reading material. There is some obvious genetic tendencies toward the computer brilliancy. So here is a picture of him taking in a little how-to on ACCESS 97.
I find it odd and funny that of ALL the books that grace our bookshelves, He chooses the largest and likely most technical.
Studying hard
Anybody need a little help from a 6 year old computer genius?
Did the book cost this much or is this just your bookmark.
All spread out ready for another session of conference.
